The 9 ply shells have maple exteriors with basswood interiors. This combining of shell materials produces more complex tones with more complete harmonic properties. The basswood inner layers provide fabulous projection and clarity, while the warmth of the maple exteriors add balance and sustain. The 6"x14" 10 lug matching snare is fitted with our lateral throw S-05 pro strainer; and each drum has 2.3mm triple flanged super hoops. (natural wood bass hoops add a touch of class) In addition to the 7 standard transparent lacquer finishes, Studio buyers can even special order their own custom finishes and shell dimensions. Of course, the hardware package is our 1001 Series- including both straight and boom cymbal stands, snare and hihat stands, and BP-1001 dual chain drive bass pedal. The rack toms are isolated with a RIMS-type suspension mounting system, and lugs, brackets and mounts,etc. are likewise isolated from the shells.
